Visionworks overcharged me in 2019 by $100. They did discover it and made it right with the insurance comoany as to what they charged them but didnt with the customer. It was only 3 years later that someone mentioned that it cost me $100 more last time. Apparently, they filed out of network and the insurance denied it. They corrected it and the insurance paid their portion. I had made an evening appointment at the ****, ** location. Something came up in which I had to reschedule. I went to my confirmation email and hit the reschedule button. It took me to the calendar in which I selected the same day and wanted to see if they had an earlier time. There was a 12 oclock appointment available. I selected it filled out my form and got a confirmation. I just went to go to my *************************************************** the system. My first visit to Visionworks in ***********, ** was on Dec. 27,2021. Eye exam, ordered and paid for 2 pair of glasses. When 1 pair was in, my husband was picking up his so they just gave him my one pair. Interesting - didn't have the chance to see how they fit or if they were correct. Well could not see out of them. I returned the next day and told them so they set up another appointment with the doctor, and I had to wait a few days for that. My experiences with their Downtown silver spring location in ****** Avenue was as bad as it gets from start to finish. Wish I could give a zero stars. It started with a Lady calls me to confirm my meeting and a show is blasting in the background where they are yelling the nword. Then I show up and the first technical banged my head so hard on their equipment when she was moving it. Did not apologize. The doctor rushed in, didnt get her name, and proceeded to give me the most rushed eye exam of all time with dirty equipment. ... read more

Was told I needed cataract surgery after three exams. second opinion from another optometrist I did not need cataract surgery or even updating glasses. Refunded to me from vision works Was fees less examination fee for exams at were not valid.
