About this business

Longing for an experience that will remind you of those glorious summers you spent on the Mediterranean as a child? Okay, maybe you didn't live there, but you'll soon feel like a true Sardinian in this very authentic Italian eatery that serves homemade rolls and thick, wide-noodle linguine. You may see a celeb or two hiding out incognito in the corner since this is a favorite hangout among the Main Street trend-setters. The small size and dark lighting also add to its very intimate and romantic feel, but the true draw is the... read more

Recap of a terrible Evening - Part 2 – 3) With that said, we all decided to order from the menu as we were certainly not going to ask him to repeat the specials with pricing?. Although we all ordered different entrees (all of which were described as having different sauces) when the dishes arrived to the table they completely lacked eye appeal and each entree was smothered in a thick red sauce which was very salty. Ordering veal with a wild mushroom sauce, you would think it would be a mushroom sauce, not a red sauce with 2 ... read more

Trust me its worth going to! – I have been to many of the top rated resaurants in LA and this is BY FAR my favorite. I have eaten here upward of 15 times and every experience has been memorable (in the best way)...sometimes I eat in and sometimes take out. The atmosphere is cozy and romantic, the best date place in LA. Sure its on the smaller side but that is part of its charm,,,its intimate. The food is far superior to any other italian in the city and better than any I have had in the country. The only people I have been w... read more

Great food, small portion! – I went on a date last saturday night here and I had a great time. I was very lucky because I did not have a reservation and walked in at 8:10pm and was seated right away whereas the party behind us would have to come back in 2 hours for a table to open up. I had 2 glasses of wine, an appetizer, a pasta for my entree and tiramisu for dessert and left the restaurant not full. The portion was very small for the price but it was really tasty. I'd recommend it if you have the money to spend, you'd jus... read more

Way too many better Italian choices on the Westside – I was excited to try Via Veneto as I had heard some good things about it. Unfortunately, my dining experience fell woefully shy of my expectations. The seating area is cramped and the chairs were uncomfortable. The food was average and overpriced and the service was excruciatingly slow. I could not wait to get out of there. After listening to the waiter list what seemed like an eternity of specials, I decided to order off the menu to which he replied, "Why get something y... read more

Dishonnest Waiters and rushed service---- – Visited Via Veneto on a Sat. night at 7:30. We were seated with no problem after making a reservation just a few hourse eariler. My wife, my friend and I really liked the decor and lighting of the place and were excited to try the food. We asked for tap water--the waiter brought us a $6.00 bottle of water. I asked for wines by the glass (from the menu; we were told they have none) and he brought us a $30.00 half bottle of what he called the house red! The pasta from the ridicously ... read more

Awful Experience – I went here with my girlfriend last weekend- BIG mistake! I wish I'd read the reviews here beforehand. We both regretted the experience. I'm not one to write reviews normally, but this was so bad that I had to do it. We were seated in a very cramped space and immediately rushed to order. The food was at best OK, but certainly nothing special. But what made the experience so horrible was the fact that throughout our meal the waiter and buss boy continuously rushed us and finally asked us to leave so they co... read more

Bad Service, Mediocre Food – Went here last week with a few friends. I have no idea what the other reviewers who gave this place a good review were thinking. The food and especially wines are way over-priced (they should have it listed as $$$$ here rather than $$$). And I can say that the food is very underwhelming and nothing special. The service is absolutely terrible- they brought us the wrong entrees- and we were rushed through our meal and the waiter was trying to get us out of the restaurant as fast as possible to seat ... read more

THE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE IN L.A.!!! – AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! I went to Via Veneto with a couple of friends last Saturday night- I can say without a doubt, this was the worst restaurant experience I've ever had in L.A. I had made reservations earlier that day and specifically requested one of the tables by the window, and was promised that we would have one. When we arrived, they told us that they never make any such promises. The only available table was a very tight spot in the middle of the restaurant whic... read more

Amazing Rabbit Ravioli – My friends and I met up to taste Via Veneto and our group grew from 5 to 6. The space is small, but the manager told us to wait a little bit and he would have a table ready. The table before us was taking their time, so the manager gave us free glasses of champagne for our troubles! We were sat and I was immediately pleased with the service and the overall presentation of the restaurant. Just about everyone was Italian on staff and all very knowledgeable. I ordered the pumpkin ravioli with sage butte... read more
