We were warmly greeted by your staff and offered one of the front tables, which I was eyeing. Instead of choosing our meal, I told your staff to bring us what they recommended. They brought out two appetizers. The tuna tartare was truly the best I have had in Santa Monica, if not all of LA. Fresh and light and perfectly seasoned. Excellent Food! – My name is Sarah and I had dinner in your restaurant this past Saturday. It was my first time to Via Veneto and it will not be the last. The food was excellent and I thought our server was wonderful as well. I thought I would pass on the compliment and let you know that I wrote an excellent review for you on TripAdvisor. As a small business owner myself, I know how every little review can help. I wish you continued success but also not so much so on the nights when I want to come in for a table.

High Class Italian Restaurant – Loved the atmosphere, Loved the cuisine, Loved the service. If you appreciate good food then you will know that these are people who know their food! To the lady with the partner who wanted cheese on their seafood, maybe you should try a different restaurant where their are cooks, not chefs. Romantic - Pricey – Great atmosphere. If you're on a date, it's sure to impress. As a married couple, frankly, I thought we could have made a better choice. I hate to say it, but after a number of years, you just don't have to try so hard. The specials were fabulous, but my wife's langoustine plate was about $70. Ouch. Great wine list though, and the waiter was very knowledgeable so he helped me make a great choice for a bottle under $50.
I really wanted to love you – I had dined here years ago, loved it, and had yet to return. It was easy to make a reservation, even at 8 PM on a Saturday night, which was fine with me. overpriced with arrogance – I am all for paying for a good meal. The wine started at $72. a bottle and went beyond $2000. That would be okay except the $100 bottle of wine is really $20 and not worth that kind of mark up. There are a lot of specials that you have to try to understand as they rattle them off quickly in a heavy Italian accent that leaves you kinda stumped (I over heard the other table say the same thing we did: why don't they write them down).
