From day one they where the only place that would see my girl zethina immediatly when stating she possibly had parvo. After the 10 minute snap test she was positive and my world turned upside down. I could not afford to hospitalize her for 4 days with them. so we came up with an outpatient program and for the next 5 days they seen her everyday and administered fluids, meds, and kept me informed on what to do. Ive never delt with parvovirus before if it was not for ALL of the staff at VMC from the one that answered the phone ... read more

Worst experience ever. My cat of 19 1/2 years died and we were bringing her in for cremation. Due to COVID, we were asked to wait outside and fill out the online form, which in fine. However, in order to submit the form you have to check a block which indicates you understand that since this is an emergency visit, you will be charged a $150 emergency fee, and you agree to pay it. I had to call inside and tell them this is not an emergency and I wasn’t checking the box. I was told they wouldn’t charge me. I said if I check th... read more
I called to inquire about bringing my moms 2 year old dachshund in because she was hemorrhaging blood with a suspected case of HGE. They told me they were only taking “serious” or car accident patients. We ended up getting her into Fairmount Animal Hospital where she was diagnosed and treated immediately with a severe case of pancreatitis and bleeding internally quite badly. VMC is a complete waste of time and money. If it wasn’t for Fairmount, this pup would have died due to the severity of her illness. If you have a seriou... read more
Business response:
We're happy that one of the general practices in the area was able to meet your needs. Our caseload continues to be extremely heavy. We have worked hard to maintain our availability to the most critically ill patients in our area. Sadly, we have recently been forced to cease admitting some patients for short periods of time. During those periods we do our best to suggest alternate sources of care, and are actively hiring, purchasing, and expanding, but cannot hope to catch up to such an explosion of case load in the immediat... read more
Thank you to the amazing angels who saw our Sadie last night under emergent conditions. With incredible care, kindness, and compassion, you guided us through and helped us make a tough decision to give our sweet Sadie Girl a peaceful transition to heaven. We cannot thank you enough for all you did for us.💛
Two days ago I had a perfectly healthy cat, who did perfectly normal cat things. Out of nowhere my cat began acting not like himself. My wife and I called around to various vet offices, and were turned away due to them not being equipped to handle this sort of issue. Eventually we were recommended we try the Veterinary Medical Center of CNY, which mind you is supposed to be a 24hr EMERGENCY Animal Hospital! Well once again, we were turned away. This time without any reason whatsoever. They advised us to try the Animal Hospit... read more
I brought my dog in because she has tumors and I wanted to get them checked out. They ran a few tests and bloodwork and said she was the healthy. The total was over $1,000. I was fine with that because I was leaving know my dog was “healthy”. After we brought her home she started bleeding and I called and they said there’s nothing they can do to help. My dog was NOT bleeding before I brought her in. I also want to add that my dog went into heat 2 months ago so she’s not in heat. I don’t understand why they couldn’t help my do... read more
Based on a friends the Dunham’s recent experience that they had with their dog. I will continue to go to Cornell if needed.
So... I brought my kitty here because he hasn't been eating or drinking enough for the past 2 days. We have an appointment 2 more days from now but we wanted to double check... this is the second time I've come here with a pet and they've acted so upset it was difficult to exam them. Why? Because they leave the animals caged up for hours with other upset animals. So you pay $150 to not get a thorough examination. If they have such skilled vets, why can't they fully examine an animal under distress? I got the notion that the ... read more
