Veterinary Emergency Services, located in Verona, Virginia, was founded in 1998 by a group of area veterinarians. Our goal was to establish a local animal hospital to provide high quality emergency pet care for critically ill or injured animals when the regular veterinarian's office is closed. Contact us when your pet is seriously ill or hurt and requires immediate medical attention. We are open from 6:00pm - 8:00am every weekday and 24 hours on Saturday, Sunday and holidays. Call before arrival for the fastest service.

I had to bring my Pug (of 8 years) here tonight to treat Pyometra. I was a nervous mess but the staff treated me AND Bella with the very best of care and sensitivity. I am extremely pleased with the help they offered in saving my dog (and me). I am forever grateful and will always return here! Thank you!!!!

They have always been most helpful with anything I have ever needed! And when my dog passes away last week they were totally supportive. They sent me a poem, when I got her ashes back they were in a beautiful box and even had made a plaster paw print! Thank You!!!!!!!
We had to bring our elderly Chihuahua to the ER vet and unfortunately we decided to euthanize her that evening. The staff and the vet were very sympathetic while still giving us options for her treatment. I had taken her there a couple years before and the same thing...the vet and staff were great!
Staff was great. Dr. Jagger was excellent. Very familiar with greyhounds. My boy had a nasty fracture and they were able to at least stabilize things to get him pain relief. Glad to have this service available for after hours emergencies.
Last evening, we rushed our little dog Pinky to your office. She had been attacked by a Pitbull. You rushed her in and the staff tried everything possible to save her, but it was too late. We want to thank you for your efforts and the kindness that was shown to us.
