Terrible company. Always looking for loop holds to get out of paying claims. In a period of 20 years State Farm denied at least 4 claims I submitted that were legit. Secondly I invested close to twenty thousand dollars in State Farm's Mutual Funds. After ten years I needed some of that money, The agent/broker refused the transaction and broke all rules of the securities exchange commission (Mark Shafer State Farm Columbus, Ohio) I finally ended up hiring an attorney to get my own money back. State Farm claims since going online service only is horrible
i guess ill give one star because i cant leave negative or zero. talk about a nightmare. i have a 2003 jeep that when i purchased is a flawless and clean jeep. it has been nothing but a daily commuter and has ZERO visible damage till the date of the incident. on the day of the accident statefarm accepted 100& fault because their driver rearended my parked jeep at 3am while im in my bed asleep. i took the jeep to one of their recommended shops where i was turned away by their parking lot inspector because it "appeared to have... read more

A guy hit my car changing lanes. He was at fault, given a citation He unfortunately has State Farm as an insurance company. Absolutely useless. All they keep telling me is that they cant get a hold of him, and I have to wait. They give them "4 chances" (a chance every other day) to respond to calls, then they "escalate" the claim, and then my car will be fixed. DO NOT GET INSURANCE WITH STATE FARM. THE SERVICE WAS HORRIBLE. WHEN YOU CALL, THEY WILL NOT PUT A MANAGER OR CORPORATE ON THE PHONE AT ALL! THEY WILL NOT RETURN YOUR CALL OR HELP AT ALL! I BROUGHT MY CAR INTO THE SHOP AND THEY MAILED MY CHECK TO THE WRONG ADDRESS SO MY CAR WAS SITTING AT THE SHOP FOR A MONTH WITHOUT BEING SERVICED. THEY TOLD ME THEY CANNOT EXTEND MY INSURANCE TO COVER THE RENTAL ANY LONGER EVEN THOUGH IT WAS THEIR FAULT. NOW I HAVE TO PAY FULL PRICE ON A RENTAL WHEN THE SHOP JUST STARTED ON IT. THEY SAID I HAD NO CHOICES ABOUT WHERE MY CAR WOULD BE REPAIRED. IT'S THE LAW THAT I CAN CHOOSE. My car was parked in the parking lot at work and a driver insured by State Farm hit my parked vehicle while I was inside the building, doing my job. At every step I had to keep following up with State Farm-- they never reached out to me.
