For 20 years, I took my dogs and cats to VHAH. While my cats were. ever thrilled about going to the doctor, my first dog, a Bernese Mountain Dog/Golden Retriever named Nikko, loved going to see Dr. McCullough - he knew her by name. And, my 3 others went there too. They are very compassionate and always give you options.

I have been taking pets there for twenty years. Always the best care and always caring about both pets and their families. We have had them start as puppies and pass and VHAH has always been there for us.

VHAH takes great care of our 2 cats and a 6 month old pup. Unfortunately, we've made countless visits over that last couple years, but Dr. Cheung has put in a lot of work in order to keep each of our pets alive and well. The customer service is great, and I always feel welcomed here.

I’ve been coming here for almost 20 years and love the staff there, from the receptionists to the technicians to the vets. My dog is high maintenance (a miniature pinscher- big personality in a small body!) and requires a patient team and VHAH has been that and beyond! I must recognize Dr. Eve Cheung for her excellent work with my dog and I appreciate her ongoing concerns for Moe. They reach out to me and check in on Moe during his ailments. I also think it’s important to mention I’m deaf and all of the staff are willing to ... read more

I have been going to VHAH since the 70’s - childhood dogs and now pups of my own. I love the staff at VHAH and the doctors are all compassionate and knowledgeable. I trust all my fur babies to be cared for at VHAH:-)

My family has been using Vernon Hills Animal Hospital for over 17 years. They have seen and takin care of many of my pets over the years and now even have the next generation ,my daughters dog. Sadly lately we had to put a few animals to sleep and their compassion has been unbelievable. Dr. McCullough always takes her time and explains what is needed and gives information and tells stories about her animals and other animals to make you feel comfortable.

Dr. Barten is awesome! I bought my Jackson’s chameleon named Jack Straw in because he was closing his eyes and seemed lethargic. Dr. Barten looked over jack and told us he believed jack had vitamin A and a calcium deficiency which is why he was shutting his eyes. He gave us medicine for jack and the next day we saw improvement. Without Dr. Barten Jack Straw would not be back to his normal self. I’m one happy chameleon owner. Thank you all for being awesome!
