Dog was misdiagnosed and died not even a full two days later. Called to see what can they do about it and they refuse to do anything. Four kids at home wake up to a deceased dog because a doctor didn't care enough.
Thank you SO much for taking such excellent care of my pug during his dental surgery this week. He is healing like a champ! After vets in the past I was really nervous, but Dr Gintz and his team definitely went above and beyond. Thank you for taking care of what means the most to me!

Front desk people seemed standoffish and fairly cold. Think we walked in at the gals break time. $50 plus dollars for someone to listen to my dogs heart and stick a thermometer in her rear. $75 for a fecal exam when other vets only cost $35 or so. Anyhow between initial exam meds, shots etc would have been almost $400 and if we did what they recommended and left her for 24 to 48 hours would have been in excess of $1300 to put in IV and watch her. I know they gotta make a profit but damn.

Excellent service, took great care of my nervous, high anxiety dog!! Very understanding and caring!!
They are always outstanding with my dogs. The staff is very professional and answer all my questions.

I had taken my pomeranian here after my regular vet wasn't available at 2am when his heart failure had filled his lungs with fluid. I went in with my dog struggling for air & I never went back to the other vet. When my dog had to stay overnight for care they called every 4 hours to update me on his status. When he eventually passed from CHF they were so respectful in giving us our privacy to say goodbye. I brought my 6 m/o kitten in for her initial exam and shots. I was running late and they kept my original appointment, which took some of the anxiety away. The techs were gentle with Murph-E and Dr. Christianson did a wonderful job explaining things that needed to happen then and in the near future. I would CV recommend VCA Pacific Avenue to anyone looking for a great veterinarian. Nikki Sixx was also in the lobby, he is a really cool cat
