I have a property in Leith so wanted to support a local business . There are three damp proof companies in the area. One took two months of emailing and phone calls to even get a response , one was charging £90 just to come out . The first came out and claimed I would need to spend £3000 to remedy the damp . I called Valentines out for woodworm problem and they were fantastic from start (assessing) to finish (treating area). The office staff were helpful and friendly. They even came back out when I had concerns about the woodworm and dealt with matters quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend them.

I have instructed this firm several times for different properties. They are always very quick to respond to requests for reports. They don't invent problems where none exist or give overblown quotations for unnecessary work (unlike one of their competitors).

I haven't actually used this company's services, but my neighbour has and can't recommend them enough. This post is to thank one of their staff for kindly checking possible damp in another (91 year old) neighbour's flat during a tea break. Thank you Vanlentines, and thank you sir. You helped put an old lady's mind at rest and she also greatly appreciated the advice you gave her.
