I went into the emergency room at the La Jolla VA. Only one other patient in there at that time. After I went to the registar there was about a dozen other patients. Not being a life threating issue I was not in a hurry. I waited about a 1/2 hour and was called for vitals, the nurse sent me to x-ray, I spent more time waiting at x-ray than in the ER. They have always taken excellent care of me, this time was no exception. Due to budget shortfalls they don't have the MRI running on weekends, normally, but due to staff shortage they had to schedule me for a Sunday. Parking and traffic was much easier and it got me in earlier. So I call it a win. EVERYONE was personable, polite and helpful.
