RecommendedThe NOLA VAMC sets the standard for VA healthcare. I have never had a poor experience here. Every time I come here, I see veterans here simply hanging out. It’s not just a hospital, it’s also a social hub for veterans. There is free WiFi, plenty of charging stations and tables, chairs, couches on every level. Ample (usually clean) restrooms on every floor. There is a 24/7 ER and fast track clinic where anyone enrolled in the VA healthcare system can go for anything from a sniffle to a heart attack and be taken care of right ... read more

Today I was seen in Women’s Clinic and was very impressed with DR Brewer. Went down and had my blood drawn very quickly. Building is Awesome. Very positive experience today.
Full Health Care needs and benefits assistance
I was pleasantly surprised by the whole experience I had here today. I had two appointments and both were started ahead of schedule and the personnel were extremely courteous and professional. The hospital is modern and clean. I have to say it’s probably the best hospital I’ve ever been in.
Update: the VA promptly reached out to me due to this and a phone call to the administration. I am now receiving excellent care from 2 of the best doctors I’ve been able to see EVER. Would change the don’t recommend thing, can’t figure out how to adjust it. Initial problem: Just left a mental health appointment that I drastically needed and waited MONTHS for. NOTHING was addressed. They offered me a higher dose of a medication that I clearly told them works well as taken, which I declined. They ignored my request for a sleep... read more
