I really wanted to like this place. Everything was setting up for the perfect evening out for our special occasion... great ambiance, good server, amazing menu (ordered the $125 American Wagyu steak)... so imagine my horror when the steak came out, and right after placing it on the table, the server poured sauce all over it... the $125 steak.... covered in sauce...
No competition in Omaha. Hands down. I often take friends and customers for steaks in this city, but I go to V. Mertz for special occasions.
Presentation was fantastic. Atmosphere was wonderful. Food was delicious. Perfect place to entertain friends and clients. Definitely worth a stop! �

Had dinner last night at V Mertz. Our favorite restaurant. We took an out of town visitor there. He was very impressed. Food, as usual, was excellent. And, David, our favorite waiter was superb as usual. He did a wonderful job of suggesting a menu and wine.
