The Uptown Arts Bar is a premier venue and platform for performing arts. Located in the hip Uptown District of Midtown, it was originally built in 1925. Over the decades it has won accolades aplenty for being the best of its kind in Kansas City. Their eclectic schedule features live music, comedy, poetry, burlesque, dance, magic, and more, by emerging and established talent. It is also a partner venue for the Fringe Festival. It can hold 150 guests and features a bar and outdoor patio.

I can always expect to be impressed by the performances here. The deck is great too because so few places actually stream stage audio outdoors.
Great company, and there's something interesting going on just about every night.
Great staff, cheap drinks, great vibe, karaoke was hilarious fun!
UAB is my go to for Open Mic Wednesdays. The staff is great, he energy is amazing and I am proud to say that my career as a poet started on their very stage. It will always feel like home. Awesome hidden gems of artist light can always be discovered at Uptown Arts Bar!
