The Uptown Arts Bar is a premier venue and platform for performing arts. Located in the hip Uptown District of Midtown, it was originally built in 1925. Over the decades it has won accolades aplenty for being the best of its kind in Kansas City. Their eclectic schedule features live music, comedy, poetry, burlesque, dance, magic, and more, by emerging and established talent. It is also a partner venue for the Fringe Festival. It can hold 150 guests and features a bar and outdoor patio.

This bar loves letting rapists use their stage to recite poems about their rapes. No one should support this place.

If this was the last bar on earth, I would be sober for the rest of my life. I don’t think they got the memo that cleaning products and deodorant were invented. got hired as a photographer and after they skipped my client skipped twice on open mic night, they cut his music off DURING his performance. Poor guy just wanted to have fun and get the pics he paid for. Embarrassment of a place.
They are the most racist unprofessional people I have ever met.
This place is wonderful. You'll meet kind people, make some great friends, feel safe and have the best time- come on one of the many open mic or karaoke nights and you'll also gain extra self confidence and courage- it's a great place to just be yourself.
