Poor service! I should know. My car has been there 5 times. The service departments work was adequate. They were great communicators and very organized. One time they put a dent into my vehicle while they had it on their lot. They did however get the bodywork fixed in a timely manner. I took my car in for a dead transmission at 63k miles. Although all the repairs were covered under warranty they would not release my vehicle until after they had received full payment. Stealership They're adding on $5,000 over sticker on the new Jetta TDIs. If they have that little respect for you as a new car customer, imagine how they'll treat you when you go in for service. I wound up buying a TDI out of state for straight MSRP.
Utterly Abysmal Service Dept. I won't take all the time needed to list each grievance I have with Univ. VW, but suffice to say, their service dept. is totally incompetent. Beware!
Great Service! I have been nothing but pleased with service I have received from University Volkswagen. I have had the unfortunate luck of getting stuck in the worst car in the entire world. To everyone who reads this I say: DO NOT BUY A VOLKSWAGEN! However in the two years I have owned my beetle I have dealt with MANY auto shops and University Volkswagen is the best! Poor service with an attitude I hate it when someone has their own employees write reviews. University is one of the more mediocre service departments in the country, surpassing the dealer in Ft. Walton, FL for incompetence. I've lived across the country in my profession and I've purchased VW products since 1979. The lack of attention to detail and ability to find excuses for bad customer service pervade the service department of this dealer. Service Department Sucks I have purchased two vehicles from this dealer. The sales staff are not a problem. The problem is the service department. The VW side has a lot of factory certified technicians on staff, there's a reason for that, the Mazda side has one, this came from someone who was eager to sell a Mazda to me over a VW. GREAT VW dealer University Volkswagen is a full service dealership for VW and Mazda products. Their sales staff is exceptional and NOT pushy. They do their best to put you in the car of your dreams without high pressure sales tactics. If they don't have what you are looking for, they will go above and beyond to help you find it. Their service department is very friendly and helpful. They schedule appointments.
