Enjoyed my stay very much. Nice, clean, comfortable accommodations. Peaceful stay and was able to get a great nights sleep. The desk clerks were always very helpful, courteous and gracious hosts!! I would recommend for others visiting PSU and downtown Portland to consider staying at University Place! Thanks so much for a very enjoyable stay. Portland and it's people are very lovely and I look forward to moving here this Fall as a new PSU student!! :)
Though the hotel is not new, I find that it is very well kept and clean. For the price, it is an exceptional value. The rooms are always clean and neat. I am particularly impressed with the front desk staff, who are very helpful and accommodating. My personal favorite is Willie, who goes out of his way to make me feel welcome.

I saw this hotel while on a walk during a previous visit in Portland and since it is near PSU - where my daughter attends, I decided to stay here on this trip. I will definitely be returning and will recommend it to friends and family.
