I know it have the "Best Doctors" in this area. I feel more comfortable at University. Just love the service I received in 2005
After spending several days at University Health Care System I'm incredibly disappointed in the lack of family-centered care. Though our assigned nurses have been great, the people seated at the nursing station desk act disgruntled when asked the simplest question. It is unfortunate that I can not get the smallest thing, like a glass of water, for my mother without going and asking, but regrettably that is a product of the hospital's organization. I have learned which hospital not to visit when I need to go to the ER. Telling people the over 6 hour wait limit could be worse should not happen, nor should a 6 hour wait happen. I have never been in an ER this long and if my mother's surgery not have taken place at this hospital, we would have left already. I will never recommend this hospital to anyone.

no follow up between hospitalists and family doctor, can't get meds straight.
My 91 yr old grandmother was in the ER last night. She sat in the hallway and watched rooms be discharged, cleaned and left empty till someone walked right past her to go in the room. She has a severe heart condition. She had an extremely large hematoma on her head & 2 severely broken wrists. She barely saw a doctor. She was not admitted for observation. I just got released today after having surgery yesterday. I couldn't have asked for better staff and treatment.
Nurses are terrific! Drs are great! Cable TV sucks and WiFi connection sucks. Although the patient is top priority, need to work on family relations skills. About froze to death, had to ask for blanket and it was more like a sheet. Should make family comfortable as well.
