Dr. Velky is awesome! However, the staff....not so much. You can’t get a person to answer the phone. If you leave a message, your call is not returned. My 81 year old mother had to go to the office because of this and the person she spoke to was uncaring, rude, and no help at all. Disappointing that these people represent him. We have known his family for many many years. This staff is a poor representation of the person/doctor that he is. He is a very caring person.
Horrible Experience!!! Been in ER tonight after complications from surgery here this morning. In 50 minutes here waiting for some relief- they have called exactly ZERO patients into the ER from the waiting room! Yes 0! Unbelievable! update: 56 minutes and they finally call in ONE patient!
RecommendedAmazing Labor and Delivery staff! I recently had my baby boy on January 23, 2020 and I could not have asked for another group of wonderful people.
Came here with a heart issue. I've been here almost TWELVE HOURS and I'm still waiting. Four other heart patients have been ahead of me for the last 6 hours?????? What are you'll doing????? Obviously NOT SEEING PATIENTS!!!!!! I DO NOT RECOMMEND UNIVERSITY AND I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE. I HAVE NEVER HAD A WAIT AT ANY OTHER HOSPITAL FROM TIME OF ARRIVAL TO CHECK OUT TIME. THIS IS JUST CRAZY!!!!!
Over a7 hour wait so far in the ER with chest pains. Didn't even check blood pressure until after he'd been here over an hour. Tell patients what the wait time is when they arrive. All labs and EKG and xrays are done before you're even taken back to a room. Then you're hooked. Can't leave to go to another ER because all of the tests have been done in the first couple of hours. They don't want to lose the money, so they've changed their way of seeing patients and locking them in. So, so sad.
RecommendedProficient staff and so far quick services
I walked in the ER at 4:30pm with a temperature of 103.0, a really bad cough and body ache. It is 12:20am (7 1/2) hours later and I’m still in the waiting room. This is really ridiculous. I will NEVER step foot in University Hospital ER ever again and I’ll be sure to tell my family. I’ve done stayed so long now I have a splitting headache. However, my complaint is trivial because some have been here longer than I have. 🤬 Michelle Perry Williams
