Eh, FB asked me to write a review, so here I am. Wife's pregnant and goes to see Dr. Serrano. Great woman, knows her stuff. A bit of a wait when you go to see her, but if you're not waiting then it means your Doc's not busy. If your Doc's not busy it means he/she either doesn't have enough experience to have much of a practice or he/she isn't worth waiting for. Point blank: we are happy to wait for the service and expertise we receive with Dr. Serrano and University Hospital.
Even though I live in Lexington, SC now, I still come back to University Hospital for my health care needs. I know from being an insider, that University Hospital is the real thing. They WILL Take care of you with the best facilities, equipment and Human Resources that are available! I had a pacemaker placement and open heart surgery in the Heart Center. I just had my 3 year checkup and I'm good as new! Hallejuah !
I can't say enough about the wonderful care my father received during his stay at University Hospital ER and UH Heart and Vascular Center. To the medical team, the respiratory therapist (Meckie and Melissa), the nurses, and housekeeping, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. My mother wouldn't leave my fathers side and knowing the care and love you showed both of them each and everyday was heartfelt. He was there a week and was treated like family. This is my hospital! My husband and I insisted on University long before I ever dreamed of working here. Our daughter Casey was born here, my mother in law's breast cancer was detected, treated and cured here and my father in law has a new knee thanks to University Hospital. "Insist on the Best, Insist on University" isn't a just a slogan or tag line for us here at University-it's why we entrust our families and ourselves to this awesome hospital!
I found a needle in my boyfriends moms room on the ground. What if the person it was used on had hiv and someone stepped on it? What a shame...
I wasn't real pleased with the service I received. I had to wait an hour to drop off a urine sample that took 30 seconds. There were only 6-7 people in the waiting room I thought this was an extremely long wait just to drop off a sample with no lab work being done.
I had excellent care at University health the nurses and aids was the best they took good care of me, everything was explain to me for example the medication i gave, the procedure that i have . Where i ring the bell they come rigjt and if i didnt ring for them, they come in and ask do you need anything and also assist me with a bathe. My nursrs Samantha, Stephanie and Sophia! !! My aids Hope, Frederica, the Dr. Deas you all are the best and thank you all souch. May god you all.
I've had had 2 procedures done at University in the past few months with a 3rd upcoming procedure planned there as well. The doctors, nurses, and staff there are phenomenal. Nurse Dimitra (not sure of last name) was my pre & post nurse while I had my visits there and she was very informative, well knowledgeable about her duties, along with a fantastic personality which was calming to me especially since I was anxious about my procedure.
