Dr. Stein repaired a torn pectoral muscle for me recently. This was my first time having surgery and the staff could not have made me feel any better. I wanted to give a special thank you to the nurse who clearly recognized my anxiety as I was prepped in the OR. The simple act of a comforting hand on your arm means more than any words can describe.
Had surgery for a broken shoulder. Everyone from the person in admissions to the gentleman who wheeled me to curb was absolutely wonderful. Dr. Forthman and the staff are great, caring people. Thanks

Don't waste your breath with Dr Stein. Apparently he can feel what an MRI can see since he refused to order one for me. In fact he knows so much that said nothing is wrong with me when I haven't been able to train for over 9+ months. Wait did I mention I'm a professional athlete? He doesn't care. Sad excuse for a doctor will never refer or go to Medstar health and that's a shame because I'm sure there are other doctors that actually are good and actually do care. I had an appointment today with Dr Murthi. In December 2014 I had rotator cuff surgery & it was the 2nd time in 8months since it re-tore after the 1st. The last 2 months the pain has gotten considerably worse & I was thinking maybe it re- tore again. The doctor didn't seem to think there was anything wrong with me & simply told me to "keep on using it". Gee thanks for the great advice doc! What a waste of time. Maybe I should ask for my $25 co pay back.

Worst ever my uncle was in there for pain from gallstones and pancreatitis and they didnt even treat him. No pain meds no nothing and they seen his history where jhh was going to keep him but he didnt have insurance and medstar wont do anything
Took very good care of me. thier nurses are excellent at least the one I had was. All of their staff was very pleasant
