In the beginning two women, who wanted to start a business, began a "cottage industry", in the basement of a home (thus, the name). Business grew because we put ourselves and our product out in the public eye as much as possible, all civic events, art and craft shows, charitable events. Not sure if I would go back. Cheesecakes are ok but we were waited on by a somewhat rude and cantankerous young lady.
