In the beginning two women, who wanted to start a business, began a "cottage industry", in the basement of a home (thus, the name). Business grew because we put ourselves and our product out in the public eye as much as possible, all civic events, art and craft shows, charitable events. Wonderful place, my husband and I visit quite often. Great service and very nice atmosphere. The people who work here are fantastic, if you're looking for any kind of gourmet desserts or sweets, we highly recommend Underground Cheesecake Company. It's the best in town, and for the best price too!
The cheesecake is fabulous! Thick and rich. This place is a hidden gem, and we look forward to coming again.
Place is great and they have great, friendly staff! accommodating, and a huge selection of gourmet desserts as well as real food like sandwiches. Bought 2 of their giftcards on special and I will definitely be back frequently.

I was really excited to visit from all of the pictures on your page, I did think the selection was disappointing compared to what it looks like on facebook and the person working grabbed our slices without gloves on. I know they have plastic things on each side of the slice but still....we thought that was pretty gross.
