I was shocked and incredibly disappointed at how much racist paraphernalia they were selling. Blackface figurines, old postcards with racial slurs, stereotyped depictions of Indigenous people, and things that looked like cultural artifacts that should not be sold. I love quirky antique places, and even found things here I would have liked to buy, but I refuse to financially support a business that chooses to profit off of racism, even though I had gone far out of my way just to come and check out the store. A recent trip to Austin resulted in us enjoying a visit to Uncommon Objects - our favorite Antique Mall in Austin and San Antonio. High end stuff, but very unique, as advertised!
Friendly staff and very cool antiques, the vibe is very old fashion.
