Visited about 3 months ago and loved every moment - you can linger in the store for hours & never see the same thing - really take a few trips thru before you make your final selections. They have a little bit of everything & the staff is a lot of fun... Great place to find unique treasures to bring home & share with those you love...
Truly a feast for the eyes! We've been coming to this gem of a shop for years...for unusual items and inspiration! I could spend hours here!
I've driven from Dallas to Austin, just to spend hours picking this store, and I'll do it again!!
Neat store but if you are going to have a rule to check backpacks. Check EVERYONES back pack. Sad case of seemingly racial profiling. Kinda ruined our families mood for the evening. Good thing we bounced back and made the most of Austin.

Very sorry to hear you felt this way. It can be difficult to get all of them when we are busy. Some employees grab purse type backpack while some only grab the larger ones. It's truly about things getting knocked over it's not a accusatory in any matter. If you come back you are more than welcome to just carry it down by your side or wear it on your front. It's a very interesting store with a lot of unique items. I'd rate them higher but I had a pricing issue with them. On Tuesday, I saw some prints in the store for $50 each that were on hold for someone to pick up the same day. I called them the next day to see if they had been picked up. It turned out that one of them didn't get taken so I asked them to hold it for me. When I got to the store, it had a new price - $88. I let them keep it.
Business response:
Another vendor had the first hold on those items. Any dealer can have first dibs on an item and can buy them then reprice them at their discretion. Sorry that happened but we sell through 25 different vendors so prices change all the time and that isn't controlled by the shop.
