I bought a Honda Jazz fom UMC and it had problems - whining transmission- UMC refused to give any refund or repair it free of charge as they said the car was not warrantied and that I'd signed to say I had checked it. However unlike them I'm not a mechanic so didn't spot it. I told them I was covered under Sale of Goods Act and Consumer Rights Act under which goods have to be of appropriate quality. Got nowhere.
