I am still in the ER after 10 hours and have still not seen a DR. at first they told me I couldn’t take the Advil I brought for my pain but then allowed me to. I am in the same amount of pain I was in when I got here, they have done nothing for me to ease my pain. I wanted to leave to just go home and get some sleep but they told me my insurance wouldn’t cover the ER visit if I left against medical orders.

After being diagnosed with colon cancer, I had to go through 4 months of chemo and then surgery. My medical team discussed my case often and collaborated together on a plan of care. I felt reassured that I was in good hands. When I was admitted for my surgery I couldn’t have asked for a better hospital experience. The nurses, assistants, housekeepers and physicians were wonderful and caring. A+ UF Health!!!
Friends and Family, there’s been a long delay to the funeral arrangements due to the incompetence of this man. The funeral service and I have been trying to reach him to sign the death certificate for over 3 days, so that the memorial can proceed. I don’t know what else to do. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!
UF Health Shands is endangering the general public by sending their remote workforce back into the office (where many work in unsafe cubical farms with lots of other people sharing the same recycled air space) and also endangering the safety of essential workers, as well as aiding in community spread of the virus. Once all of their workers get sick from COVID, they have no choice but to use a Shands facility and then Shands rakes it in from Insurance and government $$$.
First, I want to start, the staff and the facility was nice and clean. Had no issues with the nurses, internal med dr. and even my pulmonary dr. here is great. However, Dr. Karishma Ramsebuik is negligent and i will not ever recommend anyone who has an autoimmune disease to go to her to figure out. She misdiagnosed me and said to do yoga and that was it. Claimed I had zero joint swelling (meanwhile my orthopedist was treating me with 800 mg ibuprofen and cortisone injections at 21 for joint swelling and had diagnosed me witb... read more
It can be 50/50 at this place, I like it because of certain situations that my family were in, they were sometimes quick or sometimes took a very long time to diagnose. It’s complicated. 😅 But overall, it’s not too bad of a place.
