Everyone I have interacted with the last 6 months or so were so supportive and kind. The member of the surgical team (for kidney transplant) was very considerate, understanding, and patient while I ugly cried when he told me I couldn't not be a living kidney donor due to a tiny stone in both of my kidneys. I was completely devastated and all I could do was bawl my eyes out. He stayed in the room until I was calm and understood the reasons why. I get it, but that doesn't mean I'm not devastated. I had a transplant there three years ago and last month had another surgery due to a blockage. Everyone I encountered was professional from housing cleaning to my wonderful surgeon Dr. Young, as well as the clinic staff!

Had a kidney transplant at UAB on January 4 2016. My sister gave me a kidney Everything went well and they took great care of us both . I Stayed about a week in the Hospital and then three weeks in the UAB Town house. Love the Doctors and the Staff they are so nice. I recommend UAB to anyone needing medical attention.
