Charged me $217 two weeks prior to my to my move for a 20 foot truck I reserved.... day of my move went to go get the truck that had been confirmed multiple times thru UHAUL... drove 30 mins at 7am..... arrived at location and NO TRUCK.. NO IDEA what we were talking about.. called uhaul sat on hold for 30 minutes... they then hung up on me... called back and sat on hold another 30 minutes and still no idea where my truck was... now it had been an hours of waiting and still out $217 and NO TRUCK and NO TRUCKS AVAILABLE anywhe... read more

ZERO STARS! Horrible experience with the Milwaukee location at 2020 W State ST. They hadn't cleaned or checked the truck when I picked it up. It had trash in it, the tires needed air, there was ice on the floor of the truck that you couldn't see & I fell because no one warned me. They didn't give me the dollies that I had already paid for & I had to call three times before they would credit me. Their solution to my fall was to provide me the phone number of their insurance company Wasted time & money & they wouldn't budge on... read more

First things first, this individual U-Haul wasn't terrible. It's the service after them that I'm complaining about. Worst customer service I've ever experienced, EVER. They took their review down after I wrote about them 2/3/21 or so. First of all, they charge you about as much as the trailer's worth just to rent it for a couple days. Second, I paid for insurance and roadside assistance. I broke down half way into my move and was stranded by the side of the road. We were stuck in the snow and called uhaul, they said they’ll send a tow truck out to us but to call the POLICE if we’re in real trouble(we didn’t). We finally get unstuck by ourselves and call UHaul back up to let them know we’re unstuck and don’t need help; come to find out the roadside ticket was cancelled because they said THEY called US back, confirmed we were unstuck and even said we were keeping the truck overnight!! Not only does U-Haul University of Texas not care about their customers, their employees did such a terrible job attempting to install my hitch and wiring that they blew all of my fuses and caused a total system failure of my brand new car leaving me marooned for days in New Mexico where I had to be towed from the side of the highway. Despite alerting management and their customer "service", I have not received any acknowledgement of the issues, expenses, nor the danger they put me in. DO NOT USE!!!!! Charged me over $500.00 for 20 miles! Refund pending but was a hassle to get back!

I rented from u-haul and had to extend my rental. They called me 3-5 times everyday harassing me that I kept it even though they knew I extended my rental. They keep charging my card for different amounts. I called them and asked why they charged my card and they said because I still owed from extending my rental. I already paid them $430 in cash on top of them keeping my $100 deposit from my card, now they have charged me another $55 a month later. I had to call and cancel my card. The worst company out there for moving. They will take every penny you have and say it takes you 7 days to drive 2,000. I said i needed 4 days but I'm forced to pay $1,800 for 7. BS uHaul.
