I took the u-haul truck in yesterday and the U haul personnel told me how much gas to put in the truck for refill. We went to gas station, met another uhaul staff member, they also told us how much fuel to refill...Gomart....1/2 mile away. We refilled the truck and returned the truck. We scheduled an appointment with Uhaul to install a hitch to pull a trailer for our long distance move with small children. First appointment created 4/20/2021 to install a hitch in 4/28/2021 for moving on May 1. The Uhaul location calls the day of saying they don’t have the part. Instead of making the appointment and charging me for a location that doesn’t have the part, I could have gone with another company who could have installed it already. You are an absolutely horrible company. You cancelled on me twice even though I booked weeks in advance. Every customer service rep & manager (except for Corporate) couldn’t have cared less what situation this put us in. They just told me they wouldn’t do anything for me and my crying for management would do nothing for the situation. U-Haul forced us to drive 120 miles to pickup truck. The day before our 5 day drive from OR to MN, U-Haul called and said the truck we had rented would only be available at a location 120 miles further than the location on our reservation. That was 4 hours of additional driving and gas for my wife and I the day before out trip. Customer Service foul up. We were 4 hours late on a rental return, keys were put in drop box and then got the receipt that we were charged for another FULL 24 hour rental period. Store was closed at 1:00 PM so we were unable to call them once we realized we would be late getting back. Returned the truck and decided to call today to dispute the extra day. My sister wanted to rent from U-Haul she needed help with the down payment I paid down payment only with no contract no signature in my name my sister didn't pay her balance so they still had my credit card on file even though I didn't have a contract I didn't rent the U-Haul vehicle they took the remaining balance $248.33 out of my account I feel this is a rip off I want to warn others not to provide your credit card unless you are the contractor. I was charged for insurance, today after returning a truck, when I twice denied it. Once during initial reservation and once before taking the keys. I have had issues with Uhauls mobile pickup both times I have tried it. I have only rented with Uhaul these 2 time.I am honestly done with this company as an option for truck rentals. The last time I tried the mobile pickup, the truck I reserved days in advance was not there and Uhaul did not honor their $50 reservation guarantee. I'm moving across the country and they canceled my 2 week old reservation less than 24 hours before my pick-up time and was told they don't have any trucks or trailers leaving the state in the foreseeable future. Customer service blamed it on their website giving reservations without knowing inventory and are aware of people reservations made months ago that are being canceled as well. Avoid at all costs.

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE/FRAUDULENT CHARGES On Sunday 4/25/21 I rented a Econoline van from a local U-haul vendor at a gas station. When I received the van the gas tank was at about 5/8ths full. After driving a total of 98 miles in a van that averages about 15mpg I got back to the U-Haul vendor and my tank had gone down to just above 3/8ths full so I drove up to the pump and got $15 of gas which brought me back a hair under 5/8ths full.
