I had rented a U-hual to move furniture in to my new place, When i went to go pick up the U-Haul at my location they had advised me that the tank was filled at more then half a tank, when my brother had looked it was at less then half, we advised them of the mistake and they took full credit stating to just fill the tank as to what it was. We set up rental in April for a one-way move using a 5x8 trailer in June. We were informed by email that we'd receive a call to finalize details the day prior to picking up the trailer at the local dealer. No call. The local dealer was unhelpful when the trailer was unavailable. Acted like it was our problem. Couldn't get ahold of anyone in their scheduling department. Caused a lot of undue stress for our family. Won't use U-HAUL again.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! We rented a 26' truck one month in advance, called to insure the truck would be there for pickup and they did not have a truck available for our reserved date. No explanation, no apologies, no solutions. They said they "might have a truck the following day for pickup 200 miles away". Unbelievable! Called Penske, they had a truck ready for us, threw in free moving pads, gave us an extra day, at half the price. USE PENSKE!

Using uhauls ubox service was a nightmare! We moved cross country within the ************* thinking it should be a simple task. Nope! Our box arrived upside down and had the top (what used to be the bottom) completely ripped off and no one even bothered to cover it back up. No one stepped forward to take responsibility or filed any reports about it and to make things even better, we werent notified about the box showing up late until after I reached out to them to see why it hadnt shown up. Pros: - **************** people are nice!Cons:- Reservations aren't honored. I reserved a truck in one location and the day before, U-Haul called me to change the reservation. They gave me a much larger truck than I needed, which was annoying and frustrating, and I had to pay more in gasoline because the truck was bigger. - The reservation changed my pickup location, 20 miles away from where I needed to pick it up. How can I be forced to leave a one star when they deserve zero. Our family rented a U-Haul 26ft truck from ***********, ** to ******** and it nearly killed me and my family. They knowingly gave ** a truck with faulty breaks that leaked out and could of killed us. After contacting U-Haul they chose to do nothing. Im deeply disappointed and need to make renters aware. I usually rent from Budget and should have stuck with them. At least they would have not put our lives on the line knowingly. Please be AWARE!!

Ubox by Uhaul Warning!!! Nightmare continues. So we settled on getting a ubox from uhaul for our move from ********* ******* to *********************. It was easy and straight forward I thought and big company, what could possibly go wrong??? I didnt figure that big companies like them dont really care that you are sleeping on the floor and just slap a $50 delay fee and say well we are compensating you on your delay heres $50. Dont care that you need to **** for food or that your basic necessities were packed on those boxes.... read more
