After renting a U-haul trailer our Client was nonchalantly informed by the installing tech that they've had issues in the past with the trailers fishtailing and getting out of control. He specifically stated that he did not approve of the type of hitch equipment that U-haul uses and encouraged us to watch it just in case. I received a $25 gift certificate for a previous rental that I had problems with (one of MANY). I applied it to my rental from Saturday and when I checked out, it showed it would be applied. I got my final bill today and although it shows the certificate having been added to check out, they did not redeem the $25. I called the place I rented from, he said Uhaul would call me back, They did. They need to update the website! If i can give this a zero i will! It is pointless to make a reservation online when it will not be met or guaranteed that it will be available the day of! Absolutely rude customer service. I rented a truck on the 22nd, to be returned at 830am on the 24th, we didn’t think we would be done with getting out stuff out so at 830am on the 24th we called and were told it would be $40 to add another day, so we did. We ended up returning the truck at 520pm on the 24th. Come to find out, I was still charged $61 for the extra day, if I would’ve just called the return place probably would’ve had no problem just putting it down that it would be returned later. The employees are rude. Specially Paula in Apopka, fl. I had a paid reservation. Already been called 3 times to change location because of "truck is smoking" (same story each time from 3 different Uhaul location within les than 24hrs) I explained to rude Paula my family situation about moving out of state and how this is our last day to move and her replied to that was "so what do you want me to do". After we sold our house, we put all our belongings in the U-Haul storage located at (26778 US Highway 380 E., Aubrey, TX 76227). We noticed that the seal to the bottom of the door is missing. I brought this issue to their attention and they told us that they'll take care of it. however, they failed to take care of it. U-Haul in Duncan, BC (*** *******) gave me a quote For a round trip to and then tried to charge me more than 700 dollars more than what was initially quoted. I’ve talked to five different people and have been told the same thing “you signed the contract”. Unethical and extremely poor customer service for this U-Haul location. I ordered a 1-way rental online (at www.uhaul.com) to pick up a 20' ft. truck at this Scotch Plains, NJ U-Haul facility. I received an order confirmation with all the correct details. When I went to the Scotch Plains location the truck was not there and I was told that I had to go pick up the truck at another location over an hour a way! Awful service - the definition of a staff that doesn't care. A support system that lacks empathy, problem solving skills, or even basic human decency. Ordered 1 truck, 3 dollies, and 2 movers - received 1 truck and a whole bunch of grief.
