Ive had enough! ! ! – I came to TwoDo thru some friends so i will not mention any names. When i first went to TwoDo i was given an appointment with Megan. After a few appointment i realized not only did i not getting what i was paying for but Megan was sloppy careless and made me feel like i was insignificant! She would start a conversation with me n then walk away as if to sat "i really don't care" ! i expressed my thoughts about my color to her n time after time it was not addressed! I then saw someone else n was made to feel uncomfortable and strong armed to see someone i did not want to see and to top it off was treated with disrespect from the appointment desk! The final straw for me was the new girl they have at the front desk! Rude obnoxious loud classless and down right unprofessional!!! Good Luck if u can get past the front desk.

Good Cut for Long Hair – I always find the true test of a haircut (for long hair) is not how it look when its cut or even a week after its cut-- but how it holds up after a month or so. I got my hair cut two months ago-- and I am happy to report-- it still looks good! I have very fine, thin hair and the wrong cut can spell big trouble. I have to admit, though, when I walked out of the salon I was a little traumatized because the sylist went a bit shorter than he had agreed.

Hidden Treasure in NYC – I've been going to this salon for two years. I have always received excellent customer service. Even though the space is small, once you're in the chair you don't realize anthing that's going on around you because it's such a personal experience. From the minute you walk in the door to the minute you walk out you get the highest quality of service. I arrive a few minutes early just to see the quality and effort given to each client. Each client leaves with a smile. I can speak from my own personal experience. I have tried various salons in Manhattan and nothing beats Two Do Salon for cuts and color. I get the best haircut from Danielle and the best color from Megan. I'm still getting compliments on my hair when I'm ready to go back to the salon. That's the kind of quality service you will get when you go to this salon. This is truly a "Treasure" to be discovered!

Make sure you leave LOT'S of time - you will never be seen when your appointment is scheduled for... – I tried this place for a year and got adequate haircuts. Nothing to write home about really. It's a crowded brownstone basement that sounds like a wind-tunnel with all of the blowdryers going. It's hard to talk or hear. They have a fairly high turnover of stylists. I had 3 three in the year I tried the place. They kept leaving or getting pregnant. The WORST problem though is the endless wait for your haircut when you get there. I routinely waited 45 minutes to an hour because the stylist was so backed up. I don't know if this was because of overbooking or because of the rude and thoughtless clientelle that think they can show up whenever they want, not realizing that their lateness might screw up someone else's schedule. An all around not great experience. There are other places around town that treat a client's time with more respect. I've been to them and I've decided to go back to them. It's worth the extra $$$ to be treated with dignity and respect.

Best haircut and color ever!!! – I am one of those women who never knows what she wants, but is quick to criticize after the fact. I have thick hair that I bleached many years ago (and quickly discovered that blond makes me look like a corpse) and I am still trying to cover up the fading ends. My only instructions to Sasha were to make my hair feel lighter, while keeping the length. She did! She gave me a very cute bob that is longer in the front and she thinned out my hair. The haircut is light, fun, easy to maintain yet professional for work. It took Megan only a few moments to select the perfect hair color for me. This hair color works better than my natural hair color with my pale skin and blue eyes. Everyone in my family and at work noticed and complimented my hair. Overall, I would recommend TwoDo to everyone!

Thumbs up for Danielle! – My friend and I have thick hair, which is a blessing and a curse. I love keeping my hair long, but I hate feeling weighed down by it. We've gone to several salons in Manhattan looking for the stylist who knows how to tame our thick locks. We have finally found her in Two Do Salon. In matter a minutes, Danielle skillfully removed some of the volume in my hair with a razor while still keeping the long length of my hair. Now, I can finally enjoy having my hair down. I think Danielle really brought out the natural beauty of my hair. She is also a sweetheart and I immediately felt that my hair was in safe hands when I sat in her chair. My friend and I both love our hair and we're happy we found Two Do Salon. Our search is over!

Professional Criticism or Personal Attack – Citysearch is a great tool as it helps people looking for goods and services read first-hand experience reviews about the quality of a business. Praise is always a perk, and criticism - if it is constructive and honest- is also to the benefit of the business as it allows those involved to review their performance and take aim to repair and improve upon shortcomings. Good, honest, objective reviews are the goal here. I am writing in response to Fred535's review of one of your stylists. While it is responsible and completely fair to report a bad experience, I feel the reviewer has crossed the line in saying that the young lady in question has "no talent as a stylist". First off, a single meeting is far from enough to establish a solid opinion of a person's full abilities. A food critic knows to visit a place more than once before making an educated review...the case should be true in other areas as well. In addition, it is clear from the other reviews posted, to my own understanding of the young lady's abilities, that she is- in fact- a talented stylist. Her services have earned many loyal clients and have made lots of people very happy. You don't like your haircut? Write about it, be honest. Let others know who gave you the bad cut. It's cool. But save the personal attacks. Miss Alekseyeva is a hard working, caring individual who chose this trade because she enjoys making people feel better about themselves. I'm sure that were you to bring your feeling to her directly, she would do what she could to make things right. Maybe I'm just overly sensitive. I don't know Sasha personaly, but I know in my heart that the aforementioned review seemed unnecessarily careless and cruel.

the worst hair cut ever – The worst haircut I have ever had. Sasha was distracted and uninterested. She clearly had no talent for being a stylist - and isn't that what we expect when we $80 for a cut. The cut was so bad that I will have to wear a hat until it grows out.

Below Average Cut and Color – After a year of patiently giving various stylists at this salon chances, I do not recommend TwoDo. Below Average.
