Editorial fromCavernous Twist, hosting 300 seats, attracts legions of twenty-somethings who seem unperturbed by the noise level, even though it makes table conversation difficult. Antidote: Go early, before the movie or shopping. Twist works as a tapas…

Excellent For What it's Worth... – Twist is a great place to go to see and be seen... It's one of the few resteraunts that you know is going to be packed with single sexy 20-30-40 somethings. With the $5 martinis, the atmosphere is like a party for the grown and sexy. It's always busy on the weekends but for what it's worth...that's cool... This not the place you bring your mom to when she come's to town....and there's a time and a place for everything... The food has always been good...the atmosphere is energtic... loud but good – insanely lound place with good food. you can't hear yourself think. the food and service were very good though during lunch.
Twist in for a big night – Try the flank steak with a side of sushi. This was great. We attended a party here and it was well worth the money we spent. The sushi was very good as was the side dishes. The place is always crowded but it was worth the wait.
whatgives – All this comotion about Twist. It seems like alot of reviewers are upset with the noise or "Expensive". I have frequented Here to Serve Restaurants for some time now & have found a great mix of food & fun at twist. The $5 martinis are wonderfully delicious, food is at bargain prices & the poor waitstaff has to fight that crowd every night. Your doing something right.
very dissapointed – I went there for the second time and was extremely dissapointed. The sushi rolls had too much rice and were absolutely disgusting. I would rather go to Kroger or Publix for sushi instead of Twist. If you want to see good looking people, this is the place to go. If you are looking for good food, DO NOT GO. I was extremely disspointed.
this place won't last – If you're looking for marginal food in a too-loud dining room with *lousy* service, then this is your place. Seriously over-hyped. As soon as we were seated we were assaulted by a very rude waitress. She proceeded to harass us every two or three minutes until we finally ordered. The sandwiches were pricey for the portions. Same with the tapas. There was nothing remotely unique or interesting about the menu. The waitress never checked back. We tipped her 15%, but she returned a few minutes later to "th... read more
yuck! – I live in San Francisco and visited Atlanta for a couple of weeks. Fortunately I went to many restaurants in Atlanta other than Twist during my visit otherwise I would have thought that the food in Atlanta was boring! Twist was so disappointing but everywhere else I went in Atlanta was wonderful! A beautiful restaurant doesn't mean that the food or service are any good!
I've been here several times and I really like this place. The sushi is very good. I'm delighted to have another restaurant at Phipps. The fried calamari is exceptionally good as well and I really liked all of the tapas items.
disappointed – Don't believe the crowds - a very disappointing experience. Of the eight glasses, FIVE had lipstick on them! Cuisine was anything but innovative and service was embarassingly spotty. Give them a few months and maybe the food & service will be able to match the beautiful atmosphere. Atlanta has *much* better to offer.
