Great Martini Hour! Small Plates, Sassy Service, and Fun! – We've been going to Twist since the day they opened. In fact we are a fan of Prime, the sister restaurant by Tom Catherall, across the street at Lenox Square also. If it's around five, and you need to unwind, from working those credit cards, drop in here for a drink. We love those daily $5.00 Martini Specials, but just usually get our Dirty Grey's. Disrespectful treatment by manager, unresponsive organization – I used to be a frequent patron of Here to Serve, but no longer. Please don't patronize Twist, Shout, Strip, Prime, Noche, Goldfish, Shout, or any other restaurant they choose to open. After a dinner with several friends at Twist, we were asked to move to the bar area when they closed the dining area. In the process, a full drink was removed by the staff too early. cool setting – while the food is good and the setting even better, there are definitely certain nights here which are better than others..friday night seems to be meat-market night..as you walk in, there are gents lined up along the little walkway inside the restaurant pretty much drooling at every woman coming in...sat night is definitely better, nicer crowd...in any case, the place is always lively and the sushi/satays/martinis are awesome...grest service always!!!
Food and Service was SUPERB...We'll be back! – I went to Twist this past Satruday with a co-worker (we were in from Miami on business). We originally went for the sushi, but ended up feasting on several dishes including an amazing dish of plantains and grilled Georgia Peaches (so worth the wait...thanks to the Twist staff for going out of their way for us!!) great tapas! – The food is great here. It's my favorite place to get sushi near Lenox. There's a fun and lively atmosphere, and the dj usually plays good music.
Half Price Wine Monday – Half price wine is a must on Mondays. The food/sushi is good and service ranges from good to great. Can't beat the prices.
Great place for groups – I went here last Friday night with a group of 10 and it was a fantastic experience. The service was great-- they seated us promptly, despite the fact that it was nearly filled to capacity and our waiter went out of his way to make sure everyone was satisfied. The atmosphere of Twist is very vibrant and lively, which also means that it is VERY VERY loud, but this did not detract from the experience. horrible service – we went to Twist for a farewell happy hour on a friday early evening. the waitress was rude, not smiling, arrogant and slow. when we asked her how she wanted to handle our tab she said:" I am not paying for any of your drinks!" assuming some of our friends would walk out. pretentious and small servings – i had a tortellini dish, and for $12, i got about 5 pieces of small tortellini and, obviously i wasnt satisfied. i am by no means a big guy, and if i am going to put down about $20 for a meal (including tip and a drink), i want to be satisfied! and also i thought the vibe of the restaurant was trying to be a little too downtown manhattan chic... with the dim lighting, the flourescent spotlights in the background and the people who go there... our service was pretty receptive though, one thing... read more
