Editorial fromCavernous Twist, hosting 300 seats, attracts legions of twenty-somethings who seem unperturbed by the noise level, even though it makes table conversation difficult. Antidote: Go early, before the movie or shopping. Twist works as a tapas…

Great Food, Great Service, Great Time – I had an opportunity to review the ratings for Twist before I went. I really had some mixed feelings, yet because I was a guest I went along for the ride. Our party visited early evening during the week. From the moment I walked in, I was amazed. The people were friendly, the service was exceptional and Derrick our server was always there with great suggestions. I never once had to motion to the staff for anything. They seemed to be there when ever I looked up. The food, plainly stated... read more
Worst place ever – This is the worst restaurant I have ever been too. I've been to restaurants in the boonies that have better service, better and cheaper food. The food at Twists is expensive for little quality. I paid $7 for fried oysters, and I only got four pieces. My friend got hash brown potatoes, and it tasted overcooked. Our waiter was rude and very slow. The two people I was with wanted cheaper wine, and he kept persuading them to get the expensive wine. The dessert was expensive for the amount we received too. Great Twist of Ambiance & Food – Its crazy here. Tapas, comfort food, beautiful people, good drinks, variety up the wazzoo and a sports bar. Its a solid place for group dining and centralized in a good location for all patrons.
good food, slow service – We ate here on a Sunday night (FYI, on Sundays, you can enjoy their all you can eat tapas with set selections for a rather reasonable $10). While we were seated promptly, it took our waiter a rather long time even to ask us for a drink order and also a rather long time to bring our drinks. However, we did enjoy the food, but it wasn't the best tapas in Atlanta. The three for $12 desserts though were fabulous, especially the coconut creme brulee!
Fantastic Variety – The menu is varied and provides a lot of options for the undecided. There is an extensive sushi menu - try the Sinatra - it's the best! Cripsy outside rice is a neat twist. Also, many tapas to choose from and so hard to decide! We chose the queso fresco with chorizo - fantastic!! Service was also great - very attentive and suggested items when we showed indecision. Not too busy for a late Saturday night and fantastic music coming from the DJ. A mix of old with the new. Definitely worth checking out!
TRENDY SCENE takes backseat to TASTY TAPAS! – I wouldn't know about the menu EXCEPT for the tapas. De-lish! The mini-burger is a grown up gourmet version of White Castle. Tasty. The hummus, excellent. Any of the sushi rolls are great. The calamari was a little too heavy... but still great. The drinks are a little pricey but also well worth it. The staff is really friendly and attentive too. If you are overwhelmed by what to get, they can help you. The prices are moderately priced too.
So so... – A friend and I ventured here for a late dinner. I enjoyed the scene and the layout but the food was lackluster at best. Its a nice place for a cocktail but I wouldn't come here on an empty stomach.
fun place, quick service, not too expensive, so so sushi, yummy sea bass.
Good for kids-but only at lunch – I have had the pleasure of having two distinct dining experiences here--Lunch with my toddler and dinner/drinks with my toddler. Lunch service was great and the pricing wonderful and the kids menu is complete and quite extensive and a great value!(kids menu is entree and dessert--ice cream served in a cute bowl with lots of interesting garnish!). My finicky toddler had pasta and wanted chocolate milk, which they don't normally serve, but the server went out of his way to make it for her-EXCELL... read more
