One of the great dinners of my life. – I recently enjoyed a fabulous birthday dinner at Twenty Manning in Philadelphia. Usually good, sometimes very bad – The first two times I went here I had a great time - the first time was for a company-sponsored event, so we had copious amounts of food and alcohol. The second time I tried the $30 prix fixe menu which was also great. After two good experiences I was surprised by the reviews noting bad service, but the third time around was terrible. Cool Location, Bad Food – It's a little hip spot that looks like a NY joint. Unfortunately the service was mediocre and the food not very good at all. Not recommended.
Terrible – I have been to Twenty Manning at least five times because it is a cool place and each time I hope that the food and the service will improve, but it doesn't. This past Sunday was my last time. Every single entree at brunch was AWFUL and the service was terrible. Two of us got out entrees 30 minutes before the other eight at the table. Another person had to send her omelet back because it was inedible. It was one of the most unpleasant dining experiences I have had in Philadelphia.
fabulous! – I had a fabulous time at Twenty Manning. The food and service were excellent. This is definitely a splurge place though. I thought it was too noisy to be romantic, but if you get an outdoor table, it would be much more date-worthy. I'll definitely be back to Twenty Manning.
Trendy hot spot, interesting dining choices. – The sleek, cool interior of Twenty Manning can get pretty noisy and packed, which is why I didn't rate it highly as a date spot. Still, the bar mixes some good cocktails, and the menu is overall fairly successfull. hot nights at the manning – can't reccommend this place enough. sleek atmosphere to go along with the beautiful people...the customers as well as the staff! right out of the pages of vogue. located on "the other side of the park" the manning" as it is known around the neighborhood is a great spot for late afternoon or late night. in the summer time the entire restaurant opens its windows to bring a little slice of the outside in. seating for both inside tables and outside is plentiful. just make sure you call ahead for a res... read more
good times. – I really enjoy this place... the people are great, the food is tasty, and the atmosphere is wonderful and relaxing. I love going here for dinner or just a drink. Outside seating and open windows make this place great in the summer. Highly recommended.
I approve – Usually not too crowded. A nice place to relax, get some food and drinks, and most importantly, meet people. Kind of a not so secret neighborhood spot.
