My Tenant recommended TurboTenant for his rental payment transition. In the first two months, the transition of rental payments through TurboTenant to my bank were smooth. I thought using TurboTenant might be a good way for modern rental business, I connected my other two tenants to use it for my rental payment transitions, which is a big mistake. Unfortunately, after my three tenants have paid their rental payments through TurboTenant on October 2022, TurboTenant did not release my rental payment money to my banks as they d... read more

I am so disgusted right now, my son and I am needing a roof over our heads I applied for a house for rent supposedly a day made a $55 payment and never gave this company or scammers my ss# because I decided to check them out before going any further and they took my $55 even though I did not complete the process and when I go to try and find the page where I made the payment it disappeared because I wanted to cancel it, again submitting my DL, and paystubs and paid the $55 but did not supply the ss# I Repeat because after re... read more

Hello April, Thank you for taking the time to submit this complaint regarding your recent application for a listing on TurboTenant. and bring this to our attention. Please keep in mind that TurboTenant is just the software that a landlord is utilizing to market and manage their rental properties. We do not manage or own the properties listed on our website. With that being said, I think there may be some confusion about our application process that I'd be happy to clear up. You submitted a rental application. While we do off... read more

Turbo tenant collected $45 application fee from me and another $45 application fee from my husband. I’ve tried several times to contact the landlord by leaving voicemail and text messages. I’ve also wrote the supposed landlord on turbo tenant. The property is no longer listed and I’ve still not been contacted by the landlord. The night after I submitted my application I started receiving text messages about another property in which they were attempting to scam money out of me! I believe someone working at turbo tenant is sc... read more

Hello Amanda,, Thank you for sharing this feedback. Because we pay third-party companies out of pocket for things like CC processing fees, transaction fees, screening fees, hosting & infrastructure costs, and more, we traditionally do not provide refunds once an application has been submitted successfully. However, we've sent the link to submit a refund request directly to your email address. Once you fill out that form, our accounting department will review it and you can expect a response in 3 - 10 business days. We apolog... read more

Fake property rent listing. Received a text from some anonymous person telling me the property is not for rent even though it is still on the turbo tenant site. Turbotenant charged $45 and the landlord listed does not answer the phone or emails. This must be a scam just to collect $45 payments. I want an immediate refund of my $45 charge. I will be filing a complaint with my credit card company.

I paid Turbo Tenant $45.00 for an application fee and supplied vital information for them to run a credit report which they did not run. Two days later the property I applied for is no longer is available, the phone number supplied goes to a law firm and does not have anyone by the name provided on the listing: ******* ******** ***** ********. I believe I was scammed and I believe Turbo Tenant IS IN ON IT, but they will blame it on the "landlord" who listed with them (who is probably fictional) The Turbo Tenant phone number ... read more

I woke up to people at my door of the house I own wanting to rent the property. Turns out there was an ad submitted on this site that sent it to 12 other rental & sale sites. Now it clearly states on turbo tenant that every ad submitted for a property that the owner is verified. Complete lie from this company as it was not verified at all obviously. Very upset that this business can falsely put up an ad without verification. Time consuming mess that wasted my time, local police department, & put me in danger as I moved here ... read more

I paid a $45.00 application fee because the ad said you have a better chance of getting the apartment if you completed the application. I did that, never even was contacted to see the place i was interested in renting and then a day later told i was not chosen for the rent. I never even got to see the place to see if i truly wanted to rent it. This is a total scam! They took my $45.00 without me even meeting anyone or seeing the place! They will not refund my money.

Business response:

Hello Jackie, I understand that this situation has not been ideal, and I want to be sure to explain why we aren’t processing a refund in this situation. We are a free software that landlords can use to manage their properties TurboTenant does not own or manage any of the properties listed. You submitted an application to this property on 3/31/22 and a refund is not being processed in this case because the listing was removed by the landlord after the application was successfully submitted. We have shared your feedback with o... read more
