My experience with this business has been nothing but a nightmare. I would advise anyone to stay away from them. All they want is get your money without providing the services.I called for their service, the guy showed up. The service man read the instructions provided by the manufacuter and decided he could not get the job done. He did not even attemp to compllete the installation. Acknowledging he could not do the job he still expect to be paid $187.50. I was very disappointed. I refuse to pay for a service that was not re... read more
Business response:
When you booked your appointment, you were informed that we charge $125 per hour and there would be a 1 hour minimum. In this case, had you reached out to us again, we could have certainly worked the situation out and resolved this issue. Now, it has been nearly 2 months and any negotiation is not possible. Take care.
They offered Free return call as I had paid $250 when the estimate was half that. All I needed was to backup. So they came for the free return but the want to be paid. No wonder they are not registered. Stick with geek squad!!! Employees were pleasant but you get taken!!!!!!
Business response:
Hi *****. We spoke with John about your appointment and he let us know that even though he had set up the printer, you cut the appointment short due to the overall time. Had he set it up completely and there were issues, we would have gladly returned for free to finish everything up but due to you cutting it short, that is not possible. We hope that we can continue to assist you with your computer repair needs. Take care! -The Karls Technology Team
I have 2 brand new Dell monitors and a brand new thinkpad laptop and docking station. I couldn't get both monitors to work. $125 hour(ok with me), after an hour the tech said I needed a new monitor with a display port, yet I had a converter from HDMI to display. He could have told me this inside 10 minutes. Then, conveniently, after the hour says "well we're actually over an hour is there anything else you want me to look at for 15 minutes?" I said no, even though I knew I was being charged more money. Rip off!!!!! Taking ad... read more

Hi ***! After reviewing the notes from you appointment it looks like you needed an active display port adapter rather than a passive one. Payton did let me know that he provided you with a few options. Whenever those adapters come in, give us a call and we can have Payton return to get everything set up as a free revisit to wrap everything up. Hope to hear from you soon!
Cancelled on me twice. Company is a joke. Karl's is a referral agent only. Don't deal with them!
Business response:
Hi ****. I apologize that we had to reschedule on you. With the current focus on the health of our customers and field agents, we're not able to take any chances. Whenever any one of our employees exhibits any sort of symptoms or any amount of exposure to something that could compromise others, they are pulled from the field and are required to get tested regardless of if its a suspected COVID case or not. We'll have our Helpdesk reach out to see if there's any way we can make this right. We'll be in touch soon! - Karls Tech... read more
Tech called morning of appointment to cancel (which as a customer they require 24 hour notice cancellation or they will bill you) when we had a 3rd party scheduled to a teleconference. Had to reschedule, Tech shows up late then apparently we had a miscommunication which, ok, benefit of the doubt no worries. We schedule a follow up the following week. No show, no call, completely unprofessional. I am sorry I hired this company to do work for our business. Wasted a lot of time.
I wish that there was something less than one star. This company doesn't even deserve one star. I wish that I had read these reviews before booking them to solve a charging problem I was having with my laptop last Sept. There are only two reasons that a battery will not charge, either a bad battery or a bad power supply. The techs that came told me that there was not a problem with either of these. The laptop did charge for them while they were here. They would not tell me what they did to make that happen. I kept asking the... read more
Business response:
We are very generous with our warranty policy. Had you contacted us within up to 6 weeks, in most cases, we would have gladly assisted free of charge. Unfortunately, 6 months is well outside that policy and is no longer applicable. We'd love to assist further, but we're unable to do so in this case. It pains us that your first thought 6 months after your appointment was to leave a 1 star review for a machine that was fixed and working while we were on site. Good luck in your future endeavors and we hope we can help you in th... read more
Agree. I paid Karl’s $150 to do a repair. It was never done properly. I had to call them back 4 times. They have now told me to call the internet provider when all of the other computers and devices work fine. So, they took the money, did not fix the problem, and now are basically abandoning the job. Nice.
Business response:
Hi ****, We haven't abandoned anything. We returned to install the hardware that Alexander had recommended and you decided that you didn't want a *** wifi adapter connected to your computer despite ordering it yourself and talking about it with him on site. We did provide you a solution.
Buyer Beware, They are late for their appointment,Always! The techs they send out are clueless. They force you to pay for the hour even when no repair or help was given Go to a local walk in repair shop and save yourself a headache
Business response:
We went out and provided service on a 14 year old ****with a classic white screen issue. This Mac obviously had a hard drive issue. There was no confusion as to what was occurring. The drive needed to be replaced. We offered to reduce the bill, but you chose to dispute with your credit card company instead. You lost and now you're just leaving bad reviews.
I used Karl's Technology in Lakewood, CO (DBA as Lakewood Computer Repair Service). That website claims 292 reviews but you are only able to see five, 5-star reviews for an average of 4.9. The website claims "computer engineers" come to your houses. The guy that tried to address constant blue screen shut downs (mostly memory management issues--but others as well--all MS issues) on my laptop simply downloaded a free version of malwarebytes. There were NO viruses and all removed malware was unrelated to this corrupted Windows ... read more

Hi *****, We service over 2000 clients a month and less than 1% of those have any issues of any kind. Our Denver ******review page has nearly 150 reviews so we're not sure how we're not providing additional reviews. We did reach out to you to get any remaining issues resolved, at no cost, but you chose to cancel it. We tried to make everything right but you declined. You're more than welcome to contact us to discuss.
