Amazing Fastener Department Seems the fastener department was updated a year or so. Now they have just about everything needed, Even some hard to find items. About 5 isles of bolts and nuts. Service is always above average but they seem to have a lot of new employees that do not seem to know anything. In the 5 plus years I have been a customer I have never had a problem.
I agree with J. Delgado I agree with J. Delgado this is a great store. The service is great and the store employees are always helpful. Ok sometimes the checkout clerks are in some other dimension but they are helpful, courteous, and more often than not will save you money. You get much better service here than at any other large store. At least you can find an employee I can't tell you how many times I go in a big box store (well, I tend to avoid them) and the employees run the other way--if indeed you see them at all. This store always has lots of people on the floor to help and there are always two registers open. They are friendly and helpful, though not all as knowledgeable as they might be, maybe because the owner wants to make sure all customers are greeted and helped. great store didpite of peoples complane the little store true value is doing all it can to serve there costermers. costermers con be very rude there are impasient because they dont know what they want. you might be wondering why in i saing this. the rason is that im a member of the store. i work there i work at the paint department and i do costermer service to.im not saing that all costermers are that way, but some of you are terible and you know how you are.the service there is great you get more service than the biger har... read more
Neighborhood hardware store I come here because it is much closer than any other hardware store, but that is about the only reason (other than it is right next to Smart and Final). The prices are a bit high but not too bad. I've received some unfriendly service from the registers here. Maybe they were just tired after having to work in the hot store all day, but man were they unfriendly. PROS: Close to where I live CONS: Unfriendly employees
JOSE IS THE MAN I saw a website for resurfacing my old concrete front porch and steps and noticed that this store was a dealer for DAICH COATINGS SPREADSTONE. I went in and was pleasantly surprised that a nice gentleman named Jose Orantes was very knowledgeable about the product and helped me with technical questions for preparation and application. Terrible Customer Service In August 2005, I drove 45 miles (one way) to the store to purchase 4 gallons of Devine Paint, a great paint that I was going to use for my new family room. I had paint samples from Devine Paint, and after waiting in line for 30 minutes for the paint to be mixed, drove home with it. Guess what? True-Value had mixed me a blue-gray (a Devine Paint shade called Horizon) instead of the creamy white Devine Icing that I had ordered. Emergencies Only This small store is crammed with as much merchandise as it can fit, but it makes finding just the right item a doubtful long-shot. For big projects, I have to drive to the big warehouse hardware stores. I come here when I need an item or two around the house and am pressed for time.
