We had heard Kay Builders was a good builder and seemed to have a good reputation. Based on that we decided to build our first new home through them. We know people who have built their homes with Kay in the past and after speaking with them this is not the same Kay Builders we see today. As you can imagine we were very excited, but once the contract was signed all bets were off. Change orders were not simple, repairs were not made, and there was little to no communication. It was and still is very frustrating. Especially af... read more

My experience with Kay Builders was below par. Caution to new home buyers... Kay had a great reputation that has seemingly dwindled away. We thought Kay was a good choice for a builder, but after all of the issues we have had to handle and continue to ask for assistance on, we are second guessing our choice. There are signs all over the Lehigh Valley stating Kay Builders "Quality". Kay might want to work on that part. They need to develop a much better definition of what quality means to them and implement it with more conce... read more

We have been in our new house for 8 months. We have experienced frozen water lines in the powder room, cold air blowing into the powder room on an outside wall, cold basement (55F), creaking upstairs floors and water seeping through a basement wall area. Correction of these problems has been slow or still waiting. The frozen water line and cold air infiltration corrections were performed after the freezing temperatures were past so there is no way to determine if they are corrected until next winter. The creaking floor was ... read more

my experience with kay builders was awful. I wouldn't recommend anyone to build with them. the only person that was useful was Sandy and probably because someone was needed to be friendly and promise you all that you requested. Barb was the worst of all employees and found every excuse under the sun as to why things happened post a year walk through and how nothing was covered under the "warranty". The craftsmanship in my house is pathetic. I previously lived in a Corrado home and would go back to it in a heartbeat. Th... read more

Hard to reach when trying to report problems. Rush through to finish punch list for year end problems. They want you to wait for them to fix some problems at year end. General cleanup was poor at move in. Every problem in their eyes is not a problem, an they give you an explanation that benefits Kay Builders. The location is very good, and the neighbors are friendly. The show buildings are better constructed than the ones customers purchase. Still working on issues with construction after the one year which were never proper... read more

This is the fifth home I have purchased and I can honestly say the worst constructed. The workmanship is third rate to say the least. Very disappointed.

We have lived in attached homes all our married years, 28 to be exact. We never heard our neighbors with in the walls of the homes even being in between other units. Decided to move to P.A. to be closer to family and we loved the location and property site. My wife and I were the first people to leave a deposit and pick the first site at Trexler Fields. We moved in, in September and soon our lovely neighbors moved in after that. We picked the Daggerwing Model and really liked the layout of the unit. The builder liked how it ... read more

Poor customer service, once they have your money. Waited almost two years to have an item addressed from the initial walkthrough, now materials don't match.

The homes are over priced and poorly built and your sales rep did not notify us that we had to pay extra for sound barrier. Yes a sound barrier that is disgraceful and to say the least I hear my neighbors clear as day in our home to the point I know when there getting a dish out of there cabinet. You guys should be ashamed for selling a piece of a shit home. I have had a new home built before and it was a town home and not nearly the issues I have with this one. Learn how to build luxury quality homes not match stick houses... read more
