I noticed today that I have been charged $11.99 for the past 7 months for the vip backstage subscription. I don't shop at FYE more then once a year if that. The store is running out of business so now they're trying to run a scam subscription and victimize their customers!!! I shopped at FYE LAST YEAR for a Christmas gift for my dad (he loves anime!), and at checkout the employee told me that I'd "get a discount" if I put my number. fye employees will verbally tell you their rewards membership program is free. Sign up with email with them. And somehow they keep your payment method you used that day, on file. To charge you 12 dollars a month for their membership program. They specifically told me it was free in the store and ive heard stories of many others saying the same thing. This is the ****** ******mall location in Rockford, iIllnois.
I was also scammed by FYE. I would never have agreed to pay 11.99 per MONTH for a "membership" to save 10% at a store I've been to once and will NEVER go to again. This is horrible. Stay away!
Have only bought one item from this store. Was signed up for a monthly membership without my consent for $11.99. They used the card I purchased the product with to sign me up. After a few months I noticed it on my bank statement. When I tried to cancel it turned out I didn't have an account in their system so was unable to cancel and stop the charges. I purchased some Christmas presents from them last year. I was offered at the register to sign up for their loyalty card & I would get a discount off my current purchase. I agreed to save some money. Fast forward to today the end of February 2024. I noticed some charges for $11.99 on my card that were recurring. I was scammed at their store and told their membership at the ****** **** in Ohio was free. When I went to speak to the manager he gave me a blank stare and did not have an explanation as to why their associate lied to me about a monthly fee. Unethical company.
Just another person scammed by this company into their stupid monthly membership. Was also lied to, told it was a free newsletter, only to discover I had signed up for a monthly automatic charge. I even pointed that out to the cashier and said "I don't want this, I don't want to be charged", only for him to tell me I wouldn't be charged unless I downloaded the app and activated my membership. I went to the store to buy a present for my spouse. The cashier pretty much tookmy card and signed me up for the membership. I verbally told her no three times. I went to cancel online. The website did not allow me. I called the number, they told me it would cost 7.00 to cancel, i said no i will not pay them for something i did not authorize.
