I have been treated as an inpatient in the Turner ward and outpatient in the adjoining ward Ricky Grant since 2023. I have nothing but admiration and appreciation for the doctors , nurses and care staff in these two wards. I would like to especially give my thanks to Doctor Turner my oncologist who has helped me get the right treatment I need and guided me through my ongoing treatment. My NHS experience has been a positive one and one that should never be taken for granted. Thank you all 🙂

My son is back in Turner Ward after a relapse. The staff are brilliant, caring and compassionate and really go out of their way to get the best outcomes. Thank you to everyone there

I agree with some comments that morphine is used freely without the consent of the patients relatives. Causing more deaths and misconduct. The hospitals district nurses lost vials of medicine and sat at my husbands bed in my home and kept telling him he was dying. This is scandalous. The doctor in the hospital and Turners ward ware blunt and seemed uneducated in the mental welfare of the patients and should be reported to the relevant people.

Can someone as a matter of urgency look into the system used on Allerton Ward for administering drugs. When a discrepancy was noted by me I wanted a moratorium on opiates being administered. This would allow time to check why two doses of opiates given was booked down as one. Given that Ann's mental state was poor and incoherent at the time I asked the staff if they would check to see if there had been any more discrepancies as her poor state of health and mind that came about a few minutes after the second dose was worrying... read more

I have just come home from Turner Ward after nearly three weeks of care at Torbay hospital. I just wanted to say the biggest THANK YOU to all the wonderful staff that I met during my stay without whom I would not be feeling as good as I currently do. I was on my knees before I went into hospital. Just waiting to die from this cancer. The staff have turned my life around and made me realise that I can function with this monster inside and I have got things to live for.
