Dr Atkinson is a very caring doctor who never made me feel liked he was rushed when I had many questions to ask. He replaced my hip and I am 100% satisfied with the results.
Dr. Todd Atkinson is, in my opinion, the premier shoulder surgeon in Lee County. Both my husband and I had Dr. Atkinson perform rotator cuff surgery on us. The surgery went well, the recovery went well, and working with him and his staff has been a pleasure. I did physical therapy in Fort Myers, and my husband did his in Cape Coral. Dr. Todd Atkinson has performed surgeries on both myself (wrist) and my husband (bicep tendon) within the last 18 months and we could not be more impressed with the quality of care and surgical expertise of Dr. Atkinson, his staff, and his excellent rehabilitation personnel. He takes a measured and cautious approach in assessing any orthopedic issue and surgery is the last option he recommends when all other efforts have been exhausted.
After 30 years of shoulder pain, I finally went to Dr. Atkinson on a referral from my neighbor. He was thorough and professional in his examination and explained what he determined was the pain and how he would treat it. I had bursitis, arthritis, 3 bone spurs, a significant cuff tear and some bone on bone action. He put his 'heart and soul' into my shoulder and now, 3.5 months later, I am feeling little pain. The therapy group and office staff are the best as well. I highly recommend all.
Dr. Atkinson replaced my shoulder in December of 2017. It’s now April and I’m so pleased with him and his team! I am able to play golf already. Couldn’t be more happy !! Would recommend him to anyone looking for great surgeon.
I recently had a meniscus tear and underwent an arthroscopy procedure with Dr Atkinson. He was extremely professional and did an outstanding job. 10 days out and I am already functioning at 80%. His staff and the wonderful people in physical therapy made the overall experience very simple and effective. I would highly recommend this fine surgeon to feiends and family.

The Dr surgically repaired my rotator cuff. The tearing was very extension. Apparently it was difficult & lengthy to repair. After 2 monthes, I'm happy to announce that my arm is far more capable than pre-surgery. An excellent repair has been very well done. During my visits the Dr & staff answered every question & presented a quite friendly atmosphere.
Dr. Atkinson repaired my right knee of 2 meniscus tears and cleaned up some arthritis. He is not only an excellent surgeon but also a caring doctor. He listens to what you have to say and answers all of your questions. Nobody wants to go through surgery but if you need an orthopedic surgeon you could not ask for a better one.
