It smells like vomit and spoiled milk. The food isn't as good as it once WAS. The last time we dined there, our turkey burgers had a piece of metal in it. We haven't been back in a long time....Never sounds about right now.
RecommendedI HIGHLY recommend that everyone, especially folks concerned about the proliferation of gentrification in Hartford, show up at Tisane en masse and engage in meaningful conversation about the impacts of racism to the chagrin of management. They can’t kick us all out. I’m interested in discussing the lack of racial diversity of their staff and the messages black people and other POC have received while frequenting their establishment. I am open to a productive dialogue on these and other topics. Ya’ll know my numbers. 🖤👍🏾
For whatever reason, people of color have their conversation topics policed at this spot. If a black person should discuss racism, they are asked to leave. If you’re into black folk being treated like human beings, this isn’t the place for you.
A friend of mine was told to stop speaking about racism. This is wrong.
The food is really good. I recommend the wings trio, Korean sliders and bbq chicken spring rolls. The service is great and the atmosphere is relaxing.

Love this place normally but will not be back until they fix the AC. Totally pathetic. 92 degrees in the dining room and can only imagine how hot it is in the kitchen. Walked in sat down, got up and walked out. Can’t believe ownership would subject not only their customers but their employees to these conditions. Gross.
I have been going to Tisane for years but last night when I stopped in; the a/c was not working and it must have been close to 90 in the restaurant. The unfortunate part of this is that it became apparent what the staff was communicating to me is that the management knows the a/c is not working and has continued to do nothing...if that is the way Tisane is run to not care about staff and customers then I may not frequent this place any longer...sad state of affairs...hope management sees this and decides to do something diff... read more
