Very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough. Easy to talk to. Explains things very clearly. It has been a pleasure having him as my dermatologist for many years. He has identified and resolved a number of skin issues before they became serious problems.
I recently had an appointment with Dr. Ticoras and during the exam he notified me of a suspicious area on my nose and recommended a procedure for removal. I scheduled the appointment and the biopsy came back as a skin cancer. The area looks great and is very well healed. I will trust Dr. Ticoras and his staff to care for the rest of my family and recommend him to my friends.
My mother had a "suspicious" spot removed from her face by Dr Ticoras. Within a month she developed a lump in and around that area. When she called his office to ask about it he said it was nothing he did and told her to call her PCP. He wouldn't even see her. Now, 5 months later she has a stage 4 cancerous tumor on her face that was verified by a biopsy that was caused from that spot. The spot should have been cut out rather than froze off. He pushed the cancer cells deeper into her cheek.
Dr. Ticoras is professional and friendly. I came away from each visit satisfied that I received excellent care and advice.
Dr.Ticoras is extremely compassionate and has strong customer service orientation skills. An example from my last appointment is that after I had waited in the reception room and the exam room a total of not more that 10 minutes or less, he apologized for my wait. I am satisfied with much more than that, even up to 10 minutes in each - reception room and exam room. He indicated that my time was as important as his time, which is a very refreshing attitude for a medical provider.
I used to go to another Dermatologist in town about 10 years ago, but quit accepting our insurance and it turned into quite a blessing for my husband and myself. We think Dr. Ticoras is an amazing physician and we adore him. We have 100% confidence in him!
