My name is *****************************. I am filing a complaint against Loan Depot, my mortgage company. This complaint has a lot to do with misappropriation of my mortgage escrow funds. In April 2021, I was informed that my mortgage plus escrow payment would be $931.00 x12 months. Load Depot has an ACH "Budget" deposit program. This is to setup by-weekly payments. You think this would be easy. No not at all. First off I filled out the paper work. It took 3 months for them to find it. Next I find out they want 2 month mortgage payment to start a by-weekly ACH deposit. Yes, 2 months plus in 2 week the draft will start. So if you mortgage is **** you need to come up with **** on the first of the month then the second week ****. This is stupid. What will they do with that extra payment? The loan process itself did not have any hitches, although it was slow. We were very dissatisfied with how the loan turned out over all. We chose Loan Depot because they told us that we could set up bi-monthly payments through them with no fees, when they do not even have that service to offer. We were told the same thing just before we made our first payment, but then were immediately told they did not offer bi-monthly payments. Knowledgeable and professional but untrustworthy.The loan officer was skilled, friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. However, we concluded the deal could not be done at this time. That should have been the end of it. I subsequently received a thick envelope with complete loan documentation in it, including all sensitive personal data sent in an unsecured fashion. Do not use loanDepot. My husband and I contacted loanDepot Oct 1, 2021 to refinance our house. At that time we were told that everything looked great and that the refi should be completed in a few weeks and that our loan would now be at 2%. Everything sounded great! And then a few weeks later were contacted and told that it would be just a couple of more weeks and that our interest rate would be extended because something was taking a little longer. Loan depot has been harassing me with scam phone calls almost daily for months now!!! I block them and they call back with a different number! I have told them to remove me from their call list and they continue to harass me!! They are a fricken scam of a business and should be ashamed to use a business model that invades your privacy and harassed people daily to try to get business!
