We have been trying to refinance our home for 3 months. They wanted paystubs of my husband from 2 years ago. Every time they say that is all they need, they come up with something else they need. We have been told one thing from one person and another thing from someone else. This business does not know what they are doing

LoanDepot HELOC process was poorly handled from beginning to end. Technical issues every time tried to log into my portal, emails saying they needed documents that had been uploaded and accepted, non- existent customer service(when I called someone would assure me theyd handle the issue and report back - issue never resolved and never a return phone call. Started the loan process with them. We did the appraisal and they said I need to pay certain things dow. To certain amounts to improve my score. Did all that. Was talking with them about the final things for closing. The. One day I get an automated message saying they cant fund me and closed the application. No one told me there was an issue or even hinted there was an issue. Still no one can tell me anything. Wasted my money and time. It makes no sense.

After four weeks they inform me that my state laws won't let me do a home refi. Four weeks! Of course we had a home appraisal, that they recommended the company. They should have known that my home in the ************** didn't allow what we were working on doing a lot sooner than 4 weeks and after I showed up the money to have my home appraised or somebody that they recommended.
