More than anything I miss the family type atmosphere and how very kind the office staff is. You get to know them by name. I recently moved, and if you live there as long as I did, you get used to the surroundings. The convenience of shopping, gas stations and restaurants nearby. The landscaping was always well kept. There were so many blooming flowers around spring and summer. The pool is sparkling blue now and the addition of new flower baskets hanging near your front door is a treat. It's easy to raise rent for no reason. This property is at least 50 to 60 y/o so the mortgage is paid for. They just increased the rent by $25 citing price increase on maintenance even after food and gas rates have soared. And there is no pest control although it's listed as an amenity. Have massive roach problem.
These apartments built at least in the 60s which means the mortgage is paid for - they own these! Yet they raise rent citing maintenance costs are higher. I don't believe that at all bcuz there's not a lot of maintenance going on just by observation. They raised the rent right when gas and grocery prices soared in recent weeks. Its easy to tell lies and pass the increase to the tenants. They raise the prices keeping in step with government increases.
There are 4 neighbors (two on second flr and two directly below them) in the building across from me that are very weird. I've been here a few years so I've seen some things. Them folks never come outside. Not to put out trash, get fresh air, or go to mailbox or buy groceries. Just saying..
Shout out to Bobby the new maintenance guy for fixing the bathroom faucet leak really quickly. Excellent work ☺️
