Not the Woodley of Old We as a community miss the Woodley of old. The new ownership has taken the quality and community of the building and flushed it down the toilet. Everything is a confrontation with management. Things are broken everywhere in the community and it doesn’t get fixed. Yet, they want to charge everyone here a premium. Sure, they may offer you free rent, but mark my words, in a year when your initial deal is up, they will jack the rent sky high. Caveat Emptor
Stay away The building is beautiful and residents so kind and friendly, but I can't recommend due to management. There was a flood summer of 2019. The correct procedures to remedy the flood were not used. They kept the same carpet in halls and decided to use drying machines. Of course, those don't cover every square inch they need to. Carpets were wet/damp for about a month! When residents tried to alert management, they denied they were damp. A new company took over management January 2020. Thank you for providing your feedback. We are unable to speak to the repairs that were done by the previous management company for an incident that occurred a year ago. With that being said, we feel confident that they addressed it appropriately. They are a well-regarded national management company. While we have owned the property, we have had one other resident with a concern surrounding mold due to an appliance leak in their apartment. We are thrilled with our new home! I have lived in many apartments during my ten years in DC, and The Woodley is by far the best. I feel like I live in a hotel. I will say upfront it is pricey, but not much more than you would pay for another two bedroom in this area and I get the value of a beautiful interior with top of the line finishes, an attentive and catering concierge and leasing office, lots of green space, an outdoor pool I can swim laps, a great fitness center ( I no longer need a gym membership) and weekly commun... read more
