Times have changed – I don't know if it is different management, but this used to be a really nice place to go after work. The bartenders used to do tricks and things. Last couple of times I went there no one did anything. Now it is just like any other bar, but priced higher. Also, it isn't so great, unless of course if you are a man. The waitress's always wore the short dresses which were good for business but now they have this sleazy girl outside selling beer. Pathetic – Crawling with men ready to lie through their teeth about their careers (I am a brain surgeon), cars (I drive a limited edition Maserati), and bank accounts (my networth is closing in on $3mill, baby), and women who solve emotional voids with breast augmentations. Ridiculously bad parking, poorly lit, noisy, and horrendous band dying on the mic all night. Drinks were delicious though. The scantily clad waitstaff was also very accomodating.
Hostess without the mostest but good food – As I arrived for lunch, I approached the first hostess requesting a table for two. She promptly directed me down to the other end of the counter to make my request with her supporting hostess. Once the 2nd hostess found out I was looking to sit at a table in the bar area she coldly redirected me back to the original hostess. For this reason alone I rank the service below average. Over Rated!! – The only thing the Tavern really has going for it would be the Nachos. Based on that I would not be recommending it as one of Atlantas Top 10.
This place is hot........... – This place is hot..... Singles around the age of 23-30yrs hangout. It is so fun... Good-looking, young guys and girls... Come alone...
Classic Atlanta-and good food – The food is good, I love the BQ chicken and black bean soup. I eat there often, and its usually very good. If you are single, go there Friday night. Its always a good crowd.
THE BEST BLOODY MARY – The bartenders are great at this place, but what is even better is the Bloody Mary. They have their own mix and much to my chagrin I have not been able to ascertain what the actual constitution of the tomato mix that is added to Stoli vodka (my choice and the best), ice, and frosted mug--which you can hold to your forehead when you've had ten too many, the previous night. User review by cindy_carter – The bartenders are spectacular. Went there with a group of friends and we had a blast. Great place to people watch and spend some time after a day of shopping. Asian lettuce wraps and Tavern chips were our favorites!
Go to see the cocktail waitresses – The food here is marginal at best. It's a bar full of guys and if you see the cocktail waitresses and what they wear ... you can probably put 2 and 2 together. Bottom line, food is bad, drinks are expensive and the cocktail waitresses are smoking hot and wearing dresses so tight and skimpy that they are probably illegal in several states.
